Последний поход в горы в 2002-м году. Это уже был октябрь. Холодно, мокро, мерзко. По скользкой тропе (превратившейся местами в ручей) мы, устав как собаки, забрались-таки на это плоскогорье. И обомлели, выйдя из лесу. Контраст был поразителен; перед нами открылся совершенно другой мир. Каменные проплешины, поросшие розовым ковром черники, невероятная тишина, и туман, ограничивающий пространство, словно отделяющий этот мир от окружающего. Ради одного этого стоило корячиться и ползти вверх!

This image was taken at the last hike of 2002. At the beginning, it was not particularly pleasant. It was cold and wet, and our uphill path turned into a water stream at some places. The road was long and tough. But after all, we've reched the mountain heights, and were fully rewarded for our efforts. The view was amazing. It felt like stepping into another world, full of silence, and wet stones carpeted with blackberry... and cut off from the outside world with a dense fog. I certainly don't regret the time spent on this :)
